During the late 2002 the band was formed composed mainly of Jordan, Mong, Annie, Renz, Jeremy and many other session members under a different name and a different genre of music. Unsatisfied with their music they tried to enter the metal scene consisting of Jeremy (vocals), Mong (Guitars), Jordan (bass), and Annie (drums). They soon found Derek as a session guitarist a band mate of Jordan in his other Band, But due to Conflict with the band, Massive Grief decides to let go Derek. Then Renz enter the band again as a bassist making Jordan as the second guitarist. Jeremy left the band due to personal reasons and also Jordan due to Conflict of location. Left was only Mong and Annie but they didn't give up. They soon found Christian as a second Guitarist (also left due to miscommunication and musical differences with other members) and Bobby as a Vocalist. David (of Late Masquerade) also sessioned as a bassist. Of all those hardships Massive Grief will still continue to spread the plague of their sound.
Massive Grief plays the genre of Avant-Garde Gore Metal. The bands theme is all about Gore, Death, Horror, War, Insanity, Misanthropy, Misogyny, and Hatred.
The Name "Massive Grief".
Formerly "Grief" but was replaced because of similarity to the name of a doom metal band, and due to change of music genre. Then "Disciples of the grave" (was also replaced because it sounds awkward and too common). Both of those two first names are Jeremy's era. Then the band ended up with the name "Massive Grief". Massive Grief is the roots of insanity, brutality, bloodshed, violence, and demise. "Massive" represents fast, and torturing sound while "Grief" represents the heavy sounding riffs. So Massive Grief's atmosphere is a combination of fast, heavy, and torturing sound.
